Two delivery modes
Which mode applies depends on the plan. The difference is most noticeable across audiences on varied or unreliable connections.
Passthrough
The broadcast is delivered at the bitrate it was sent at. Predictable and straightforward, and well suited to audiences watching on stable connections.
Adaptive bitrate
The broadcast is prepared at several quality levels. Each player selects the level the connection can sustain and adjusts as conditions change, which reduces buffering on weaker connections.
Supported devices
Channels run in a browser on any modern device without installation. Additional routes to mobile and television are available or in development.
Desktop and laptop
Full channel in any modern browser. Nothing to install.
Phones and tablets
The same channel, laid out for smaller screens.
Mobile apps
A listing in the StreamEAI app, or a dedicated branded app. Both available as add-ons.
